Prepare an emergency kit, so you are ready for the worst. Possible contents:
spare panty hose, safety pins, clear nail polish, comb, hair spray, kleenex, needle & thread (white), aspirins, crackers, band aid, toothpaste & brush, dental floss, breath mints, make-up, etc.

The most expensive part of a wedding is usually the reception. Keep in mind that a lot of caterers, DJs and wedding halls etc. might offer rebates for Friday and Sunday receptions. They often book their Saturdays a long time in advance, but are just waiting for someone to book on the other days of the week. So what about getting married on a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon instead - ask your suppliers which discounts they offer.
